WOMAN LIFE-FLIGHTED FROM CHLOE ACCIDENT - Truck Rollover On Route 16

A woman was life-flighted to Charleston Area Medical Center Wednesday night by HealthNet chopper, following a truck accident on Route 16 near Chloe. A man was also injured in the wreck. He was taken to Roane General Hospital by Calhoun EMS.

The nature of their condition was unknown.

An Upper West Fork VFD spokesperson said the truck went out of control and turned over, although both of the occupants were out of the vehicle upon arrival of emergency services.

The accident was reporteded at 6:13 p.m. Two ambulances from Calhoun EMS responded along with units from the Upper West Fork VFD.

EMS transported the injured woman by ambulance to the Upper West Fork VFD for loading on the helicopter.

The Upper West Fork VFD answered a call to a car fire on Mud Fork off Route 16 at Stinson at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
