EARLY MORNING FIRE DESTROYS ARNOLDSBURG DWELLING

Fire destroyed an Arnoldsburg residence early today. Neighbors discovered the blaze at 4:15 a.m. on the Post Office Alley. The house belonged to James McKown, and was a rental property. The house was originally owned by Gene Starcher. McKown said a new renter was moving into the structure. No one was present when it caught fire. The Arnoldsburg and Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire, with Calhoun EMS.
