SCHOOL BOARD COMMENCES SEARCH

The Calhoun Board of Education held a special meeting Wednesday evening to being the process of seeking an interim superintendent of schools, following the resignation of Jane Lynch. The board went into executive session to discuss the search and the financial stability of the county school system. Several WV counties have declared serious financial problems, including Roane County with a $300,000 shortfall. Many county systems have already made transportation cuts to special events.
