Monroe Moore, 76, of Rosedale died suddenly December 10, 2001 at home from a
heart attack.
He was born March 16, 1925, a son of the late Herbert and Chessie Bourn
Moore.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Moore on November 4, 2001.
He was a farmer; a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church, where he also
served as Trustee, a member of the National Cattleman's Beef Association, an
honorary member of the FFA, a board member of Southern States. He was a
former Braxton County Commissioner, he was on the Planning Committe for the
Braxton County Memorial Hospital, and an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence W. Moore of Rosedale; three grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at Rosedale Baptist Church, Rosedale
with Elder George Rose and Reverend Larry Conrand officiating. Burial will be in the
Mount Zion Cemetery, Calhoun County.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Moore residence.
