CALHOUN SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT JANE LYNCH RESIGNS TO TAKE RESA POSITION - Board Will Seek Interim Superintendent

(10/10/2008)
Calhoun school superintendent Jane Lynch is resigning to accept the head of RESA VIII in Martinsburg.

Lynch had been appointed to the superintendents position replacing retiring Ron Blankenship.

State Board of Education members named the Calhoun Superintendent to the position yesterday.

On Oct. 27, Lynch will replace former RESA VIII director John Hough at an annual salary of nearly $93,000.

West Virginia schools are supported by eight Regional Education Service Agencies.

RESA VIII offers services to schools in eight counties in the Eastern Panhandle.

School board president Cynthia Dale said today the board will commence a search for an interim superintendent.
