HAYMAKERS GET SHINING STAR AWARD

(10/09/2008)

Hays and Josh Haymaker receive a Shining Star for their efforts in preparing the wood for the 4-H bonfire held last week.

The pair cut the wood themselves, loaded and delivered it, and stacked it for the event to take place.

"Their volunteer efforts should be recognized," said Calhoun Extension Agent, Curtis Garretson.

Many people in Calhoun County and the area are community minded, generous and dedicated. The Hur Herald staff would like to recognize those individuals and groups for all they do.

We ask our readers to submit names of individuals or groups, along with a brief description of why they are Shining Stars. Submit your entries to bob@hurherald.com
