ARNOLDSBURG DAYCARE HAS OPENINGS

(10/14/2008)
The New Life Child Development Center now has openings for children ages 24 months to school age. The daycare is located beside the New Life Baptist Church, across from Houchin's Fabric Shop, in Arnoldsburg.

The daycare's hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fees are $80 a week, if your child comes all five days; or $20 a day if your child doesn't come all five days. All children are provided breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

The daycare's director, Leslie Fox, has a Bachelor's degree in Education, with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She plans the days' activities based on a preschool classroom setting.

Children are taught the alphabet, days of the week, months of the year, numbers, shapes, colors, and are read aloud to, on a daily basis. Bible stories, prayers at mealtimes, manners, and socialization are also large components of the daycare's curriculum.

If you would like to take a tour of the daycare, observe during a regular day, or get your child enrolled at the New Life Child Development Center, please call 655-7545 Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The daycare accepts both private pay and state assisted pay. The DHHR offers a program called "Choices" to parents who work, or go to school, and meet income guidelines.

To find out if you are eligible for "Choices" contact the Calhoun County DHHR to schedule an appointment to speak to one of their representatives.
