MEMORIAL SUNDAY EVENING FOR CLAY SOLIDER KILLED IN AFGHANISTAN - Sgt. 1st Class Nicholas Has Calhoun Connections

A special memorial service is scheduled for Clay County resident Sergeant First Class Jamie Nicholas, 33, who was killed Monday fighting in Afghanistan.

Clay County Commissioner Peter Triplett says the service will start at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 5 in the courthouse square.

Regional residents are invited to attend.

Nicholas has several relatives living in Calhoun County on Nicut road and in areas, including his grandfather Burke Nicholas. Early Nicholas of Nicut is his brother.
