ROANE HIGH STUDENT CRITICAL AFTER WRECK - Propane Huffer In Burn Center

(12/08/2001)
A 16-year-old Roane County High School student remains in critical condition in Charleston Area Medical Center. Jeremy Abbott of Newton was injured over a week ago on State Route 36 at Clover, after he lost control of his pick-up truck while traveling to school. Abbott was thrown from the vehicle after it rolled over several times.

A Spencer man, Jason Jordan, 23, is in serious condition in the Huntington burn center after a propane gas "exploded" while he was inhaling the substance on his porch. Jordan was on home confinement when the incident occurred on Thanksgiving Day. He received injuries to his face and lungs, according to the Roane County Sheriff's Department. They said he was on home confinement because his license was revoked for a DUI.
