West Virginia is getting some extra money to help low-income people pay their energy bills this winter.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday it's giving the state an additional $865,411 from its Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The WV-DHHR will be issuing the funds, based on income guidelines.
