A postal spokesperson in Roane County said that the postal authority was in bad financial shape and drastic action would soon take place. The Creston folks have had dealings with the "wonders" who run the Clarksburg and Beckley offices and are not surprised. New wells have been permitted in both Wirt & Calhoun Counties and, elsewhere in the state, things are wild with more and more Marcellus shale wells in addition to 'regular' wells. The local price of natural gas fell and Dominion (Mother Hope) has a big shut in planned for almost all the wells in the area. Their spokesman said they would penalize folks to allowed "unauthorized gas" to enter the system during the Hastings repairs. Of course there has to be gas on the system for those who use the same between here and there.
