| Helen Ward, 70, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away Monday September 8, 2008 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Huntington WV after an extended illness. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Coy and Louisa Bailey Price. She was employed for several years at Wirt Inflatable's of Elizabeth. She enjoyed spending time with her family and quilting. She is survived by 3 daughters Joyce (Randy) Dornon of Boaz WV, Rhonda Bumgarner of Palestine WV, and Rebecca (David) Herrington of Elizabeth; 7 grandchildren, Sarah and Leanna Dornon of Elizabeth, Megan and Brooke Bumgarner of Palestine, Heath and Lacey Herrington of Elizabeth, and Celena Herrington of Parkersburg WV; brother, Don (Beth) Price of Alliance, Ohio; sister Ruth (Rusty) Knight of Parkersburg; mother-in-law, Mildred Ward of Grantsville, WV; brother-in-law, Oren (Joanne) Ward of Columbus GA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Olen Ward; 5 brothers Paul, Odus, Harley, Bill, Price and 3 infant brothers. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 11 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV, with Pastor Randy Dornon officiating. Interment will be at Beulah Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10 from 3-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
