Doris Carol Webb, 68 - Spencer

Doris Carol Webb, 68, of Spencer, West Virginia, died September 6, 2008 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.

She was born October 9, 1939 in Roane County, WV, a daughter of the late Squire and Sybil Fields Young. She was retired from Foodland and was formerly employed at Kellwood Company and First National Bank for several years. She was a former Democrat of the Year, and enjoyed football, bowling, and cooking for everyone and had given her life to the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Hershel L. Webb; two daughters, Janifer Carpenter and Lisa McGlothlin both of Spencer; two sons, Jeff and Steve "Porky" Webb both of Spencer; two sisters, Norma Jean Richards of Lancaster Ohio, and Connie Allman of Columbus Ohio; two brothers, William "Bill" and Robert "Bob" Young both of Columbus; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Vineyard; and a brother, Freddie Young.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Taylor-Vandal Funeral Home, Spencer with Rev. Russ Stump officiating. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery near Spencer.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
