A man was injured in an ATV accident in the Katies Run area Sunday afternoon, a few miles from Annamoriah and State Rt. 5.

Sources at the scene identified the man as Jeremy Moss, about 24, saying he was either the passenger or driver of the ATV.

He had been riding with a number of ATV enthusiasts.

The nature of his injuries are unknown, but he was life-flighted to Charleston Area Medical Center by HealthNet for treatment.

Calhoun EMS, Minnie Hamilton Health System and the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the remote area known locally as Wesvaco land, the accident happened a short distance from the Little Kanawha River.

Volunteers and emergency personnel had to carry Moss about one-and-one-half miles to a Calhoun EMS ambulance.
