| ONE DEAD IN SHOOTING - One man is dead and another man was taken into custody Sunday following a shooting in Mercer County.
Deputy J.R. Coeburn of the Mercer County Sheriff's Department,
Cpl. A.H. Young of the Princeton Detachment and a large number of officers responded to the incident.
Police said "It's looking like a domestic."
Based on tire marks on the pavement and beside the road as well as the position of two vehicles â a maroon Chevrolet 1500 4X4 pickup truck that appeared to have knocked down a mailbox and fence row, and a black Ford Mustang GT â it appears that the two vehicles were somehow involved in the incident.
WOMAN MURDERED IN MT. HOPE - Fayette County authorities have launched a manhunt for a Mount Hope man after a woman's body was found in his home.
Sheriff's investigators anticipated obtaining an arrest warrant charging David Lee Welch, 43, of Mount Hope, with murder.
Relatives of Linda Kay Smith, 50, of Mount Hope, identified as the victim, had not been seen since last Saturday.
