CALHOUN CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL LOADED

The field for the Calhoun Invitational Cross Country meet just keeps improving.

Along with the host Red Devils three Class AA-A powers have indicated they will attend including Doddridge County, Ritchie County and Charleston Catholic.

Along with those teams Williamstown has expressed an interest in running in the Sept. 23 meet at Calhoun County Park.

On the middle school side Elkins has indicated it plans to attend.

Last year middle school teams from Doddridge, Geary, Gilmer and Elkview joined the Red Devils.

On the high school side Calhoun was joined by Herbert Hoover, Roane and Gilmer.

The meet gets under way at 4 p.m.

The Red Devils open the season Aug. 30 in the Autumn Classic at St. Marys.

Two volunteers with four-wheelers are being sought for the Calhoun Invitational Cross Country Meet.

Drivers are needed to lead and follow the pack.

The Calhoun Invitational is scheduled for Sept. 23 at the Calhoun County Park at 4 p.m.
