COPPER THIEVES STRIKE OLD CALHOUN HIGH

(08/22/2008)
Copper has become a big ticket item for thieves in the past year.

Grantsville Police Chief Charles Stephens says the theft of copper inside the old Calhoun County High School in Grantsville has been reported to his department.

"The thieves were apparently targeting copper electrical wiring," he said.

The owner reported the school was broken into on July 12 and August 9.

Stephens said several leads are being followed.
