REPORT CRITICAL OF WV MEDICAID PLAN

Washington, D.C. based Families USA says in a report released yesterday that WV'S new Medicaid plan is confusing, and leaves too many Medicaid recipients behind when it comes to benefits like weight management and cardiac rehabilitation. Department of Health and Human Resources Secretary Martha Walker has dismissed the findings. Walker said Families USA has opposed the redesign from the very start, indicating her agency has yet to receive any major complaints from Medicaid recipients. Walker had wanted the group to delay the release of its report until it could get more information.
