BASKETBALL VOLUNTEERS WORK INTO THE DARK - 3-On-3 Tourney Saturday At County Park

The WVU Extension Service of Calhoun County is hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to be held Saturday at the Calhoun County Park beginning at 9 a.m. A group of volunteers worked into the darkness last night at the park, preparing the court for the tournament. Danny Bunch, supervised by son Peyton adds new paint to court Seven teams will participate in the tourney to raise funds for the future 4-H basketball program coming in November. The tournament is double elimination, the next pairings will be announced after the first games are played. Pairings were chosen by drawing from a hat. Teams are asked to be at the court no later than 8:40 a.m. Tournament Pairings 9 a.m. Raptors vs. Mike Kute's Team 9 a.m. Greg Myers' Team vs. The Beavers 9:30 a.m. Kristen Ballengee's Team vs. Red Hot Pokers 9:30 a.m. Shock Shooters vs. The Raptors Chas Bunch does her part - Zac Hupp and Curtis Garretson assisted the Bunch family
