Calhoun Middle-High School's youth coalition ambassadors Drew Metheney, Kelsey Collins, and Project Director Shari Johnson attended the one day training with 41 county representatives of projects awarded funding. Following a day of project sharing and recommendations, counties with three coalition members having attended the training were awarded $3,500 checks, with the balance of $1,500 to follow for equipment purchases. The $5,000 technology grant will purchase video production equipment for use with the PRIDE team for the creation of public service announcements to promote substance free living, said Johnson.
