STATE TREASURER HAS CASH & MORE FOR 12,000

(07/24/2008)
West Virginia Treasurer John Perdue has cash, stock shares and unclaimed insurance policies for about 12,000 people.

Each year the state attempts to locate the rightful owners of property often left behind in safe deposit boxes.

Nelson Sorah a spokesman for the Treasurer's office says the state has returned $60 million worth of property since 1997.

Word is spread through newspapers, brochures and the Internet, but eventually, some items end up being sold. Are you on the list to claim property? Visit www.wvsto.com
