Clyde Edward Goodwin, 67 - Left Hand

Clyde Edward Goodwin, 67, of Left Hand, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2008, after a long illness.

Clyde was born Wednesday, April 23, 1941, a son of the late Otmer and Icie Ellen Carper Goodwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Otto, Ray, Bill, Frank, Danny Joe and Ralph; sisters, Attie and Artie.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dottie Bailey Goodwin; daughters and son-in-law, Loretta Goodwin and Patti Goodwin both of Left Hand, Anna and Dennis Mitchell of Scott Depot; son, Adam Goodwin of Left Hand; four grandchildren, whom he adored, Justin Goodwin, Caitlin Goodwin, Lauren Kidd and Seth Mitchell; brother, Ronald Goodwin of Looneyville; sisters, Marie Dennis of Amma, Faye O'Dell of Walton and Opal O'Dell of Tariff.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. David Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Carper Cemetery, Amma.

Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
