Doors and window broken at Nelly's General Store in B & E attempt

Authorities are continuing to investigating an attempt to break and enter Nelly's General Store at Minnora early Sunday morning.

Doors and windows were busted, according to a store employee, in an effort to enter the store, which is located along Rt. 16.

Owner, Kelly Cottrell, said nothing had been taken, with a store employee saying the culprits had apparently been frightened and left the scene.

Thieves broke and entered Cooper's Store at nearby Chloe a week before, taking over-the-counter medications, cigarettes and other items.

If anyone witnessed activity at or near the stores, authorities should be contacted.
