Anna Sampson is representing Calhoun High School at the 2008 Governor's Honors Academy. Sampson is a junior.
The community of 179 scholars from around the Mountain State will be at Bethany College for three weeks.
The program is open to West Virginia juniors who are outstanding students and school citizens.
They will take academically enriching classes and participate in high-level discussions.
Students may take at least one out-of-state, overnight field trip, often to Washington, D.C.
