First and foremost, our sympathy goes out to our neighbor Cindy's family. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Have you paid a visit to Beason lately? If you haven't, you really should take a walk on the wild side and stop by. I think the best time is early evening. There's something special (well, other than yours truly) about a warm summer evening on Beason. It might be the smell of wild grapes, daisies growing on the hillside or just the gentle sound of water running over rocks. Come by and visit and take it all in.

Mr. and Mrs. Joey Sellers

We attended Annie Sparks and Joey Sellers' wedding on June 28. I can honestly say it will be remembered as "eventful." We began the evening with a storm prior to the ceremony. Everyone ran for some cover. We chose to drive down to the reception area to find it a wreck. We cleaned everything up as well as possible and hoped it would be acceptable. Thank God Annie had not transformed into Bridezilla. Although, I think we were all some sort of "zilla" earlier in the day. Our multi-tasking skills are put to the test. However, we survived and pulled off a very cute wedding.

I am having some wallpaper removal issues at the house. I even bought this spray that's supposed to be able to take up tar from a road. Is it working for my wallpaper? Oh no, that would be too easy. I have no idea what type of adhesive Home Depot uses on their wallpaper. Rest assured it will last for generations or if your house burns down. In the event your home burns down, I believe it would be lying intact next to all the things that were supposedly biodegradable. The whole time I have spent scraping wallpaper (as well as breaking fingernails) I kept asking myself "who's the idiot what wanted this on the wall?" I guess I am guilty as charged. Never ever again will I do the wallpaper thing.

I don't know who is in charge of the rain and storms. However, they will be held accountable if my fireworks display on July 4th is postponed. I will have many unhappy children if this should be the case. If there are many unhappy children in my home, chances are it will lead to my unhappiness. Someone will then pay dearly for my unhappiness.

I was in Calhoun County on Sunday to visit with my Mom and pick up Avery. Avery spent the night with her due to the fact that weddings last a little too long for him. I also had the opportunity to spend a little time with my Aunt Madeline, Uncle Ray, Kelly Yoak and Jessi Whytsell. I wish we could get together on a more regular basis. I think the girls need an occasional chick party. Of course, it's always a pleasure to see my favorite Uncle Ray. The first words out of his mouth when he saw me were suggestions for my hair and weight. My first thoughts were, "dang, what have I done lately to get showered with all this love?" It was just like old times. It's great to know he hasn't changed under any circumstances, good or bad. He really is a great guy no matter how hard he tries to cover it up.

Once again, I will leave you with a quote. It's great and one can interpret it in many ways. I take it to mean things will be blissful when finally it is that moment that had been lingering but has now found the perfect time to come. "In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary."-Aaron Rose.
