Juanita Roberts Hupp, 86 - Macfarlan

Juanita Roberts Hupp, 86, of Macfarlan, W.Va., died June 26, 2008, at Parkersburg.

She was born in Dutchman Community, Ritchie County, W.Va., the youngest and last surviving child of the late Albert G. "Bert" and Carrie Ryan Roberts.

Mrs. Hupp was employed with the United States Postal Service, receiving several commendations for dedicated service, insight and notable performance before retiring with 28 years of service. She was active with the Smithville Elementary Santa Claus workshop, the Dutchman Community Association, a member of Bethel Chapel, Dutchman, the Smithville CEO's and former Ritchie County Belle 2001.

Surviving are four sons, Brett Hupp of Lancaster, Calif., Clay Hupp of New Martinsville, W.Va., Rische Hupp of Elkton, Va., and Steven Hupp of Macfarlan; two daughters, Roberta Tsuyama of Pueblo, Colo., and Janis Hupp of Richmond, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frank Clay Hupp; her oldest son, Randall Alan Hupp; four brothers, Ira J. Roberts, Perry Roberts, Homer F. Roberts and Donald G. Roberts; five sisters, Mae Fortney, Myrtle Chadock, Velda "Toot" Strickling, Belle McRoberts and Ora Roberts; and one infant sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel Chapel United Methodist Church at Dutchman Community, W.Va., with the Rev. Sue Jones and the Rev. Frank Plybon officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartley Cemetery, Brohard. Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
