DEER KILL COULD CREATE SOME RECORDS - 12-Point Buck Checked In Grantsville

Storekeeper Ray Holbert says the deer kill is really up these first four days, ahead of last year. He reports 380 have already been checked at Holbert's Store. During the entire two weeks last year only 354 were checked. The buck checked by Glen Arthur, Jr. is still the big buck with 12-points at Holberts.

Cha-Tis at Grantsville reports 260 deer checked the first four days. They report a "big" 12-point buck checked, hunter unidentified.

Speedy Mart at Arnoldsburg reports 442. Some of the 10-point bucks checked in: Jamie Starcher, Judy Schartiger, Steve Griffin, Ralph Carpenter and Fred Starcher.

Parson's One Stop at Pleasant Hill reports 185. Joe Johnson checked an 11-point buck.

The Pit Stop reported 185 at Mt. Zion.

Rick's Place at Minnora reported 276, with Curtis Allen checking a 7-point with a 17 1/2" spread.

No report was available from Reed's Store at Pleasant Hill.
