PARKERSBURG MAN STABBED - A Parkersburg man was stabbed after an altercation in his home Wednesday night. According to police, Steve Sampe, 27, was at his home just after 11 p.m. when Sylvain Ashley, 35, and Barbara Bryant, 38, allegedly forced there way into his residence.

An altercation ensued and Sampe was stabbed several times. He was treated and released from an area hospital.

Police arrested Ashley and Bryant and took them to Wood County Magistrate Court for arraignment. Ashley was charged with burglary and Bryant was charged with burglary and malicious assault.

BECKLEY MAN FOUND SHOT IN HEAD - Police say a Beckley man was in critical condition after he was found shot in the head on Rails-to-Trails Friday.

A bicyclist found the 37-year-old victim on the trail's south end near Mabscott and called 911.

Investigators believe the man was shot shortly before he was found. There was no indication his wound was self-inflicted. Police are still investigating the incident.

TWO MEN STABBED - Dunbar and Kanawha County police are investigating an incident after an altercation Friday that led to the stabbing of two men.

Metro 911 confirmed that two men were stabbed, although their names and the extent of their injuries have not been released.
