Maxine Nicholas Wilson, 75 - Massillon

Maxine Nicholas Wilson, 75, of Massillon, passed away June 10, 2008 with her family by her side following an extended illness. She was born November 27, 1932 in Orma, West Virginia, daughter of the late Simon and Emma (Cotrell) Nicholas.

Maxine enjoyed spending time with her loving family and listening to gospel, bluegrass and country music.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Wilson in 1983.

She is survived by her loving children; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Phil Spehar of Alliance, Janet and Joe Bruey of Massillon; son, Rod Hamill of the home; five grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole and Joey Spehar, Joey and Cody Bruey; her furry companion Maggie; two brothers, Ernest ( Norma) Nicholas of Spencer, WV., Denver Nicholas of Orma, WV.; four sisters, Marie (Russ) Taylor of Williamstown, WV., Macil Monroe of Parkersburg, WV., Murl Nash of Canton, OH., Jean (Hoyt) Rogers of Ball Ground, GA.; sister-in-law, Marie Wilson of Canton and long time friend June Lamiell of Canton.

There are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also surviving.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, 406 Market Street Spencer, WV. Burial will follow in Nicholas Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in Spencer on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Road S.W. Canton, Ohio.
