WOLFE, MINIMAH TO ATTEND CALHOUN GOP MEETING

United States Senate candidate Jay Wolfe and West Virginia Secretary of State Candidate Charles Minimah are scheduled to attend the Calhoun Republican meeting Thursday night.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Small Courtroom at the Calhoun County Court House in Grantsville and may also be attended by representatives from the Congressional campaign of Shelly Moore Capito; the campaign team for West Virginia Agriculture Commissioner Candidate Michael Teets and a representative from the campaign of Attorney General Candidate Dan Greear.

Wolfe, a native of Parkersburg, is a graduate of Parkersburg South High School and Glenville State College.

Minimah is a native of Nigeria who became a United States citizen in 1984 after graduating from West Virginia State College (now West Virginia State University).

Also expected to attend are state GOP Chairman Doug McKinney and Calhoun County Commission candidate Lyle Kerby.

The purpose of the meeting is to recruit members of the Republican Party to work as committee members and party officials.

Also the party is seeking people to attend the state convention in Flatwoods on June 21 with two serving as voting members and the remainder as caucus members.
