WV SCHOOL BUS DRIVER MURDERED - A Wyoming County school bus driver was cleaning her bus the last day of school when she was shot and killed by her husband.

Wyoming sheriff's deputies say George Perkinson shot 43-year-old Robin Perkinson Monday night on the bus.

He then turned the gun on himself.

Police say Perkinson then walked across the highway into his home where he died.

The apparent murder-suicide took place in Ikes Fork along U.S. Route 52 near the McDowell County line.

MASON COUNTY'S SHOCKING MURDER - State Police are hunting for a suspect wanted for a brazen killing in the small Mason County community of Clifton that happened Saturday night.

State Police say the suspect had his face covered with a bandanna when he knocked on the door of the home of 29-year old Christopher Roush.

A friend who answered the door was greeted with a pistol and a demand to give up his money and drugs.

When he told the suspect he had neither he was pistol whipped in the face and thrown outside, police say.

The suspect then entered the home and found Roush sleeping.

"He apparently fired one round as a warning through the ceiling. He tried to get money and dope from Chris Roush. Evidently Roush wouldn't cooperate and was struck once in the face and then shot in the back of the head execution style at close range," explained State Trooper Zerkle.

The suspect then fled in a white car toward the Pomeroy-Mason Bridge.

Zerkle says they are sure the incident is drug related, being that Roush was a known drug dealer in the area.

"I knew first hand that he was a drug dealer. He could sell anything from cocaine to crack to pills," Zerkle said.

Newspaper accounts said Roush's family knew that he was deeply involved in the local drug trade, but say he had shown a strong indication recently that he was trying to get out of the culture. His mother says he was hoping to start his life over again, but his past apparently caught up with him.
