LK WILL FLOOD 3.5 FEET ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AT GRANTSVILLE

The National Weather Service says the Little Kanawha River will rise 3.5 feet above the 36 foot flood stage at Grantsville.

The NWS is suggesting the water may hit a 40 foot level.

Little flooding of property is expected to happen.

The river will rise to 39.5 sometime Thursday.

The river will fall below flood stage by early Friday morning.

Weather is forecast to be on the brighter side starting Thursday.
