Phyllis June Reed Whipkey, 68, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away June 2, 2008 at her home. Ms. Whipkey was born April 15, 1940 in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Pearl Shimer Reed. She was an abstracter in the oil and gas industry and was a former Calhoun County Clerk. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Godfrey of Grantsville and Deanna Wright of Mt. Zion, WV; 2 brothers, Tim Reed of Cutler, Ohio and David Reed of Grantsville; a sister, Euna Reed of Five Forks, WV; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in charge of arrangements. Those who wish to pay their respects may send flowers to the funeral home.
