Born at Grantsville, he was a son of the late Coy and Oval Parsons Richards. He was a former employee of Grantsville Tire Company, Grantsville and Pioneer Casting of Belpre, Ohio. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Grantsville.

Surviving are his wife, Blondina Deulley Richards; a daughter, Evelyn Wood of Shock, WV; sons, Roxel, Mike and Denver Richards all of Mt. Zion; a brother, Orville Grant Richards and his wife Jean of Grafton, Ohio; 2 sisters, Louise Yeager and her husband Thaddeus, and Shirley Richardson all of Belpre, Ohio; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, James Richards and Billy Junior Richards; a sister, Elouise Reel; 3 infant sisters; and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at Victory Baptist Church Grantsville. Rev. Mike Worf will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
