PINSON ATTENDS HOBY SEMINAR

Nekka Pinson a sophomore at Calhoun High School attended the 2008 Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar in Charleston May 15-18. During the four day seminar Nekka and the other HOBY Ambassadors sat in on panel discussions on various topics including media, education, community service and West Virginia's role in domestic energy independence. Key note speakers included Secretary of State Betty Ireland, and 2006 World's Strongest Man Phil Pfister. Ambassadors participated in a community service project during HOBY and were encouraged to continue their service in their own communities. If Nekka completes 100 hours of service she will be recognized at next years HOBY seminar. Nekka is the daughter of Steve and Jenna Jett of Orma.
