Ray C. Frazier, 72 - Elizabeth

Ray C. Frazier, 72, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 26, 2008, following complications from a massive stroke.

He was born December 4, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV to the late C.R. and Pearl Frazier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents B.F. (Frank) and Lilly Dodd Frazier, George W. and Anna Pyatt Snyder, and brother, Raymond F. (Franklin) Frazier.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Evon Jones Frazier of the home; son, Darrell (Janet) Frazier of Elizabeth; twin daughters, Jeanette (Roger) Kesterson of Fleming, Ohio and Jeanene (Will) Hyde of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Dylan and Katie Frazier, Jentre Hyde, Janssen and Landon Kesterson.

Also surviving is a sister, Jane Cutlip of Massillon, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Wilma Jean Frazier of West Union, WV, Bernice Jones of Parkersburg, Garnet Newlon of Parkersburg; brothers-in-law, Loyd Jones and Louis (Wanda) Jones all of Elizabeth; Hershel Ashly of Barberton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Following graduation from Wirt County High School and a tour of military duty, he was employed by Spencer State Hospital, working there until it closed. He then transferred to Colin Anderson Center in St. Mary's from which he later retired. He was an active farmer most of his adult life and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, and digging ramps in the mountains of Webster County with his brother.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Snyder Chapel Church at Annamoriah, where he and his wife are members with Rev. Faley Blankenship officiating and Ron Little of the Temple Gate Quartet. Interment will be at Fought Cemetery at Newark.

Friends may call at Matheny-Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, Thursday, May 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.
