George Darrell "Pappy" Villers, 90 - Annamoriah

George Darrell "Pappy" Villers, 90, of Annamoriah, passed away at Minnie Hamilton Health System Wednesday, May 21, 2008.

He was born June 21, 1917 to the late James and Myrtle Shimer Villers of Little Creek.

He worked for several years as a self employed contractor in Barberton, Ohio and for Bernard Construction Company.

He was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways in Calhoun County.

Mr. Villers was a member of the Snyder Chapel Church of Annamoriah. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, watching birds and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, William (Sherry) Villers of Spencer WV; Patsy Bowers of Annamoriah WV; Darrell (Mary) Bower Of Creston WV; and Sandra (Terry) Fowler of Annamoriah WV.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Mildred Greathouse Villers, and one great-great grandchild, Kamryn Elaine Boak.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 26th, 2008 at Matheny-Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth. Visitation will be Sunday, May 25 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and 9 a.m. till time of the service on Monday.
