In recognition that even in our small county, we have smaller communities
with various cultural differences and opinions, I would like to begin a
monthly "Study Circle" in each of the following areas: Brooksville, Pleasant
Hill, Grantsville, Mt. Zion, Arnoldsburg, and the West Fork.
Each of these
mediated study circles would be comprised of volunteers from within the
community who gather together to share their thoughts and opinions on a
particular subject surrounding youth, alcohol and substance abuse issues.
The meetings are not to point fingers of blame, or debate the morality of
such behaviors. They are to determine the level of awareness and concern
within each community of the issues in which our young people are faced
with every day and to allow each community a voice in combating the
issue.
All information obtained will be confidential and reported on only as
a group, not individually.
