Arnoldsburg fireman works to disconnect
battery to prevent fire in wrecked truck

Eighteen-year-old Issac Bell received serious trauma to his arm, when a truck he was reportedly driving went out of control on Altizer Road, crashed against a tree and turned on its side.

Bell was taken to Roane General Hospital by Calhoun EMS after the crash, first reported at 10:16 p.m.

HealthNet was unavailable because of weather, but authorities said Bell was been sent to Charleston Area Medical Center.

Three other young males were reportedly in the truck, some of them receiving minor injuries.

Altizer Road runs parallel with the West Fork River.

Two of the males left the scene of the accident as police arrived.

Cpl. Jeff Hunt is investigating the accident.

The Grantsville Police Department was called to Wigner St. in Grantsville at 11:13 p.m. after a subject reportedly overdosed and became belligerent, with Calhoun EMS attempting to provide medical treatment.
