RICHARDS INDICTED IN WOOD FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER

Wood County handed out 54 indictments this week, including one against John Manis Richards, 44, 777A Pell St., Grantsville. Richards was indicted on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender from April 2007. This past March he was indicted by the Gilmer County grand jury on charges of conspiracy, grand larceny and breaking and entering in connection with an incident at Hardman's Hardware. His trial in Gilmer County was set for the July court term. Arraignments will take place next week in Wood County.
