WALTON MAN REMAINS CRITICAL FOLLOWING FIRE

A Walton, Roane County man, Ernie Patrakis, 48, remains in serious condition at the Cabell-Huntington Hospital Burn Unit after he suffered burns when gasoline was used to start a fire in a stove.

He suffered second and third degree burns.

The man who was using gasoline to start the fire died from the incident. He has been identified as Jack Martin Jr., 50, a resident of Long Ridge, a rural area off Ambler Ridge, near Walton.
