CALHOUN WOMEN IN ROANE CRASH

(05/13/2008)
A Jeep went out of control on Arnoldsburg Rd. on US 33 east of Spencer on Arnoldsburg Rd. yesterday, trapping one of two occupants in the vehicle.

Rosalee Miller of Sugar Camp, Big Bend, was trapped in the vehicle for an extended period, and had to be extracted by the Spencer-Roane VFD.

Miller and Janet McIntyre of Grantsville were taken to Roane General Hospital, where they received treatment and then released.

The vehicle reportedly hit a patch of oil on the highway, clipped a telephone pole and landed in a creek bed.
