| One person has died in a Roane County house fire during the night.
The fire started around 2:30 this morning at a house on Paxton Ridge Road, a few miles from Walton.
Paxton Ridge is a remote area off Ambler Ridge, not far from the Kanawha County line.
911 reports at least one other person was injured.
Firefighters from Walton and possibly other neighboring communities responded.
The name of the victim has not been released.
