GASOLINE HITS $4 MARK IN REGION

Surely you haven't been holding your breath. Gasoline prices reached $4 a gallon today in Calhoun County, with most retailers expected to fall in line with the weekly increases. Oil has shot over $123 a barrel, with a prediction by Goldman Sachs that prices could rise to $150 to $200 within two years. A weakening dollar and rising worries about falling production in Mexico and Russia is also pushing prices higher now, with some analysts still predicting that the price per gallon will exceed $4.50 a gallon this year.
