KANAWHA TEACHER WILL NOT BE ARRESTED ON ROANE METH LAB CHARGES

(05/06/2008)
The Roane County Sheriff's Department says a Kanawha County teacher will not face meth charges for the meth lab found in her son's trailer. The trailer was located on her property.

Deputies told WSAZ-TV there is not enough evidence to connect Wanda Sheets to that meth lab.

They say Sheets did not live with her son in the trailer.

She lives in a house about forty yards away from the trailer.

Robert Sheets and John Leslie were both arrested last week and charged with operating a meth lab in Roane County.

Wanda Sheets is a sixth grade teacher at Elkview Middle School.

Deputies say this was not the first time they have been to her property because of meth.

Wanda Sheets was charged with obstructing an officer last September during a search on her property.

Robert Sheets and John Leslie are behind bars at Central Regional Jail.
