HUNTINGTON SHOOT-OUT - Huntington police said Sunday night a suspect was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital with a gun shot wound.

The situation started just after 5 p.m. Sunday when customers at Speedway on Hal Greer Blvd. noticed a man with a gun.

The customers told some Marshall University police officers in the store.

The suspect and Huntington police officers then exchanged gun fire.

The suspect ran and hid behind a dumpster where the standoff lasted for close to two hours.

Huntington Police, The Swat Team, deputies and state police were all on the scene.

The media and neighbors remained at least a block away from the shooting, but gunshots could be heard.

The name of the shooter had not been released Sunday night.

WESTOVER STABBING - The fight broke out in Westover and a short time later, a man in his 40's walked into a Dairy Mart Store, screaming that he was stabbed.

The suspect, Issac Barker, 24, drove away from the scene but was found a short time later by the Monongalia County Sheriff's deputy.

Barker was taken to North-Central Regional Jail and posted $100,000 bond.
