SEVEN RECEIVE INJURIES IN RITCHIE COLLISION

Seven people received injuries after a two vehicle head-on collision today on State Rt. 47 between Smithville and Macfarlan. See earlier Hur Herald story and photos. State Police say Audry Leeson of Elizabeth was driving his vehicle east on Rt. 47, while Michael Meadows of Braxton County was driving westbound. One of the vehicles apparently went left of center and collided in a sharp turn. Leeson's wife, Elma Jean, was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center by HealthNet. She is currently under evaluation. Leeson and Meadows are both being treated at St. Joesph's Hospital. Ambulances arrived on the scene from Ritchie, Calhoun, Wirt and Wood County.
