FIREMEN RESPOND TO YELLOW CREEK FURNACE FIRE - Other Incidents Cause Response

Grantsville volunteer firemen responded to a furnace fire on Yellow Creek at 10:20 a.m. yesterday.

Smoke filled the house belonging to Paul Wagoner after the furnace appeared to have an electrical short.

The family said the fire would have spread throughout the structure if they had not been at home at the time.

The Wagoner's managed to close down the furnace and disconnect it from the electric.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to a report of a car over the hill on Lovada Road at 6:30 a.m. No one was reported injured. The Calhoun Sheriff's Department investigated.

A Grantsville man, Bernard Smith reported someone was stealing his property at Cabot Station at 5:22 p.m. with law enforcement responding to the scene.
