Betty G. White, 75 - St. Albans

Betty G. White, 75, of St. Albans, West Virginia, entered Heaven's Gate on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, surrounded by loving family. She was the daughter of the late Ernest D. and Velma Pearle Roberts Sampson of Calhoun County, WV. Surviving Betty are her husband of 57 years, Sharol E. White; son, Terry Michael (Mitzi) White; daughters, Patricia Sue Hollis and Sandra Cheryl (Joe) Doak; grandchildren, Dan Strickland, Chris Strickland, Mike White, Michele McCloud, Amanda Mace and Anthony Mace and special caregiver, Annie Mullins. Also surviving Betty are brothers, Robert "Bud" (Karen) Sampson and Dorsey "Dude" (Carol) Sampson; sisters, Mae (Jeff) Marshall, Marie (George) Williams and Irene Nutter; and sister-in-law, Louise Starcher. Betty is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service was held Thursday, April 24, at Left Fork Baptist Church, Alkol, Lincoln County.
