PITTSBURGH PAPER SAYS BRESCH DID NOT EARN DEGREE

The Pittsburgh-Post Gazette is reporting late today that West Virginia University retroactively awarded Gov. Joe Manchin's daughter a master's degree she didn't earn. The paper is saying that administrators erred in ordering the change. WVU says the investigation has concluded, but will soon release the findings. The Post-Gazette is reporting that's the conclusion of investigators who have spent months studying the 1998 executive master's of business administration degree given to Heather Bresch. The newspaper cited an unnamed source. The newspaper has filed a suit over WVU failing to provide information under the state's FOIA laws. They say Bresch actually had about one-half of the credit hours needed for an MBA.
